Depsite my distaste for Las Vegas, I managed to discover the silver lining last night. After walking what seemed like 5 miles between the convention center and a reception on The Strip, we finally decided to stop for dinner. But we didn't stop just anywhere, we took advantage of the incredible buffet at one of the casinos.
This may be the city of excess, but when it comes to food it's a quality this pregnant lady is willing to overlook. I could satisfy every craving...sweet, salty, spicy, anything! My plate was filled with a mixture of eggrolls, guacamole, salad, a taco and roasted potatoes. When we went back for dessert, my coworkers just chuckled to themselves as I returned with grilled corn on the cob and a piece of carrot cake.
To top it off, Michael called me this morning on his way to work with news that a Chick-Fil-A is being built less than half a mile from our house. This is one of my all-time favorites (their bbq sauce is the best!) so I'm hoping it will be the fastest construction project in the history of man.
Just typing this post is making me hungry...
