Now that Roxy is in a better mood, we're able to use her as a guinea pig for trying out new baby gear. She patiently tolerates us knowing that there's usually a treat in her near future.
This weekend we went to a new baby store to purchase a crib mattress and came across "hotslings" -- a fun baby sling that comes in a variety of fabrics. Mike located a gender-neutral graphic print that he would feel comfortable wearing and we headed home.
Here are some pictures of our canine baby trying out the sling. She didn't really like her head to be inside, but other than that Roxy relaxed and hung out in it for almost 30 minutes while Mike walked around the house hands-free. I think she likes the closeness plus the feeling of being about 5 feet off the ground (instead of just a few inches). Maybe we should get another sling so one parent can wear the baby while Roxy chills out attached to the other parent.

Oh my goodness, this is hilarious! I love it. Did Mike get new glasses? How's the nursery coming along?
Thanks for the laugh! :)
Lindsay, Mike,
I don't know if that's cute or weird, but it's not like Gina and I don't treat Maia like our little daughter.
Also, have you considered the name Matt?
